Sasha’s offers dog daycare, by reservation only, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday through Friday, except holidays, and 9:00 am to 5 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
Note: Weekend daycare is offered on a full-day basis only.
In order to ensure the safety of all our furry guests and our employees – all new dogs are carefully evaluated as part of Sasha’s enrollment process via a face-to-face temperament assessment.
The evaluation process is comprised of two components – the first portion is an introductory meeting with a Sasha’s representative who evaluates your dog’s ability to tolerate physical handling (mouth, ears, paws, tail) by a stranger without biting or snapping at the handler.
At that time, we also review the completed enrollment package for your dog.

- Sasha’s Emergency Treatment Authorization
- Sasha’s Pet Care Agreement
A key component in the enrollment process is the screening of all potential guests to ensure they are current on all vaccines, including rabies, DHLPP and Bordetella. All dogs over the age of six months must be neutered or spayed to participate at Sasha’s, and all dogs must be on a flea prevention program. Dogs under the age of six months must have had the second round of shots.
Please contact us to schedule a temperament assessment meeting. Appointments are offered Monday through Friday between noon and 2pm to avoid the very busy periods during drop-off and pick-up. If this time does not work for you, we can likely find another time that fits your schedule.
The temperament assessment typically takes only 15 to 30 minutes.
To save time, you can complete the enrollment package in advance and forward that to us by email to email@example.com.
Assuming all goes well, we can schedule the date for your dog’s first day at Sasha’s.
The second portion of the Enrollment Process is a day (or a half day, minimum) participating with the pack. This allows us to evaluate your dog’s comfort level and suitability for daycare.
We request that your dog’s first day with the pack to start at 7:00 am, ensuring your pup is one of the first to arrive that day and has a chance to meet each additional arrival at a comfortable pace, rather than being overwhelmed or overstimulated by too many new friends all at once.
At the end of your dog’s day with Sasha’s, we will provide you with a detailed report card chronicling your dog’s experience along with any recommendations or concerns we have relative to continued participation moving forward.
We will be happy to enroll dogs who exhibit no issues or only minor issues (e.g., dogs with nervousness or obedience issues may flourish with regular exposure to Sasha’s structured protocol). On the other hand, if your dog has major issues (displays aggressiveness to people or other dogs, or extreme discomfort or nervousness), we may call you and ask you to pick him or her up. We will offer alternative care suggestions and training options.
Ongoing Temperament Monitoring
At Sasha’s, we get to know your dog very well, as if they were our own. All dogs are under constant evaluation for continued comfort levels and suitability. Should negative behavior issues crop up, we will initially distract the dog to curtail their behavior. If that falls short of correcting behaviors, then our next step is time out (in a segregated gazebo) – this allows the dog to “cool his jets”. If a dog requires three time-outs within a week, we may recommend the dog be removed from the pack and be given specific training to correct the behavior. The dog will be welcomed back to the Sasha’s once training is successful and has the trainer’s clearance to return to the daycare environment.
Ongoing Health Monitoring
If we see any signs of illness (vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, coughing, sneezing, lameness, injury), we will isolate the dog in question, administer any and all first aid and care possible, and request the owner pick the dog up and bring him or her to their veterinarian for evaluation, and we may request written clearance from their veterinarian for the dog to return to the daycare environment.
As part of Sasha’s comprehensive approach to safe, educational and fun daycare, we also offer guests both grooming and training services delivered by seasoned professionals. Appointments with our mobile groomer can be scheduled during those days she is onsite. These services include spa baths, nail trim, ear clean, anal gland expression, teeth brushing, and grooming.
Similarly, our state-of-the-art dog whisperer and trainer is onsite once a week to conduct both group and individual training. At the completion of a dog’s training, the owner will participate in a debriefing session in which they will review how to communicate using the newly acquired communications skills of their K9.
Both these services are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
